Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to manage customer transactions using cash registers.
  • The candidate will be in charge of collecting payments, whether in cash or by credit card.
  • The candidate will be required to scan items.
  • The candidate must compute the total payment for goods or services.
  • The candidate will be in charge of accepting payment for goods or services.
  • The candidate will be in charge of calculating daily/shift payments and reconciling them with total sales.
  • The candidate will be required to provide excellent customer service.
  • The candidate will be in charge of greeting customers, answering their questions, assisting them in finding items, and providing advice or recommendations.
  • When selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco goods, the candidate will be needed to verify the age of consumers.
  • The candidate will be in charge of stocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  • The candidate will be expected to cross-sell and introduce new products.
  • The candidate will be required to wrap or place merchandise in bags.
  • The candidate will be in charge of handling merchandise returns and exchanges in a quick, efficient manner.
  • The candidate will be in charge of entering price changes using price sheets and special sale bulletins.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist customers with self-checkout.
  • The candidate will be in charge of keeping track of transactions on balance sheets and reporting any discrepancies.
  • The candidate will be in charge of balancing the cash drawer by counting cash at the start and end of each work shift.
  • The candidate will be responsible for resolving customer complaints, guiding them, and providing relevant information.
  • The candidate will be required to accept reservations or take-out orders.
