Job Description
- The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches in order to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- The candidate will be expected to use measuring tools to prepare layouts in accordance with building codes.
- The candidate will be expected to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
- The candidate will be expected to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- The candidate will be expected to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- The candidate will be expected to schedule and coordinate work on-site.
- The candidate will be expected to instruct apprentices.
- The candidate will be expected to supervise other employees.
- The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be able to supervise 5 to 10 people.
- The candidate should be accurate.
