Job Description
- They’re appointed at this post to apply filling between layers and frosts using spatula.
- They’re required to garnish cakes by hand and fill pastry bags by scooping mixed frostings from bowls or buckets.
- Candidates at this post are required to keep the decorating area clean and clear of debris.
- Candidates are appointed to assist with other bakery duties and provide prompt and courteous member service.
- Candidates are required to slice half-sheet cakes by hand using a 16” knife or with a slicing machine working at this post.
- They’re appointed to squeeze and twist frosting-filled pastry bags with various tips attached.
- They’re also appointed to create borders, figures and writing per Costco formulas, patterns and department production procedures.
- Candidates are also required to follow standards for quality and consistency of finished product working at this post.
- Candidates are required to read member special orders to determine appropriate flavors, colors, decorative pattern and personalized writing for cakes.
- They’re required to remove cheesecakes from baking pans, place them on a cake pad and apply topping with spatula and handle other accountabilities at this post.
Job requirement
- They must acquire a dedicated high school diploma to be eligible for this post.
