Job Description
- Business Coordinator supports daily business operations for the Executive Advisor and Director’s Office.
- This is a temporary, full time role up to 22 months with a 35 hour work week.
- Itβs centered on business coordination, project support and some administrative planning across the department. Flexible work options might be possible depending on operational needs and employee fit.
- The position involves working with several City teams and also with external partners.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Advisor by reviewing emerging reputational political and operational concerns and then provide recommendations.
- Support the development of process improvements and strategic solutions that align with Council direction.
- Work with internal partners to support discussions and business unit priorities.
- Coordinate departmental reporting and review information for accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with implementing corporate and departmental frameworks.
- Track business tools, processes and resource use and identify improvements.
- Support corporate strategy implementation and change management projects.
- Support agenda planning and coordinate meetings across departments.
- Act as the main point of contact for business coordination requests.
- Manage Access to Information Act requests for the Director’s Office.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 3 years of related work background.
- Knowledge of project management principles and techniques is considered an asset.
- Work background with the Access to Information Act and the Protection of Privacy Act is considered an asset.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Work background using Escribe meeting software, Content Server and PeopleSoft
- Financial Supply Chain Management is considered desirable.
- Strong interaction skills, organizational skills and critical thinking are required.
- Provide proof of qualifications.
