Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers’ cheques, or room billings.
The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers in a clear, concise, and informative manner.
The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff.
The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate has no supervisory responsibility.
The candidate must have a Serving It Right Certificate.
The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
The candidate should be client-focused.
The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
The candidate must be flexible.
The candidate should be reliable.
The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

The candidate must work in a hot environment.
The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work setting

The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
The candidate must work in a formal dining room.
The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
The candidate should work from a remote location, as the practice of employees doing their jobs from a location other than a central office operated by the employer.
The candidate should work in a hotel, motel, or resort with additional sports and leisure facilities framed in a natural environment that attracts visitors beyond the room.
