Job Description

  • The candidate must inspect repaired vehicles.
  • The candidate must plan and perform the repair work.
  • The candidate must maintain professionalism in customer service.
  • The candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining workspaces.
  • The candidate must replace front-end components, body components, doors and frames, and underbody components.
  • The candidate must file, grind, and sand body surfaces for repair.
  • The candidate must mask and tape the auto body surfaces to prepare for painting.
  • The candidate must use blocks and hammers to remove dents, buckles, and defects.
  • The candidate must remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
  • The candidate will be responsible for applying primers and repainting surfaces.
  • The candidate must repair or replace interior components.
  • The candidate must repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • The candidate must mix paint, blend, and match colours.
  • The candidate must be able to use soldering equipment or plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
  • The candidate will be responsible for straightening bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should have good judgmental skills.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Experience and specialization

Area of work experience

  • The candidate must have work experience in the area of body components, doors and frames, frame straightening, front-end components, metal cutting, and welding.

  • The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.

  • The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • The candidate should have an eye for detail.
  • The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

  • The candidate must have steel-toed safety boots.
