Job Description

  • The candidate should be well-versed in apiary work.
  • The candidate will be in charge of Apiary management.
  • The candidate will be responsible for harvesting honey.
  • The candidate will be in charge of handling, feeding, and caring for honey bee colonies in a seasonally appropriate manner.
  • The candidate will be in charge of wax stamping beehives.
  • The candidate will be expected to detect and treat bee diseases.
  • The candidate will be expected to clean and maintain equipment.
  • The candidate will be required to manage colonies of honeybees for the production of honey as well as pollination services.
  • The candidate will be expected to extract honey.
  • The candidate will be expected to build hives and replace combs.
  • The candidate must collect and package any hive products such as honey, beeswax, and pollen.
  • The candidate will be expected to make decisions regarding yards, treatment, splits, honey harvesting, and all other aspects of beekeeping.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing queen rearing operations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that breeding yards are kept at peak production levels.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep diseases and pests under strict control.
  • The candidate must be able to identify and report hive health issues.
  • The candidate should be knowledgeable about bee biology.

  • The candidate should be willing to work in an outdoor environment for long hours, including tolerance for pests and thorns.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate will be required to work in wet, hot and cold weather conditions.
