Job Description

The candidate must be able to use manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
The candidate must be able to operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
The candidate must be able to use oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC).

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Candidate having experience is an asset.
The candidate should be client focused.
The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

Accommodation will be provided for the candidate.
The candidate must work in the marine and manufacturing industries.

Experience and specialization

Type of materials

The materials are aluminum alloys, non-ferrous materials, stainless steel, steel, iron, and heavy metals.

Welding techniques

Welding techniques include shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and flux core arc welding (FCAW).

Equipment and machinery experience

The candidate must have prior experience using a gas welding machine and an arc welding machine.

The candidate must have their own transportation.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

The candidate should have an eye for details.
The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.

Own tools/equipment
