The position is offered on an auxiliary and on-call basis.

Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to internal clients, including hardware installations, PC and laptop imaging, and fulfillment of hardware requests.
  • The candidate will be responsible for escalating unresolved hardware and software issues to technical specialists and coordinating follow-up activities.
  • The candidate will be required to provide support for ICT Support Desk operations as needed.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively while exercising sound judgment in resolving work-related issues.
  • The candidate must demonstrate superior customer service skills when assisting internal users with requests.
  • The candidate must have completed Grade 12, supplemented by coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • The candidate must have previous experience working in an IT Help Desk or technical support role.
  • The candidate with previous experience in a municipal or government setting will be considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • The candidate should possess a valid BC Driver’s License to support travel requirements between facilities.
