Job Description

• The candidate must perform underwater inspection, search, salvage, repair, and photography.
• The candidate must provide emergency response when necessary.
• To inspect sea farm operations, the candidate must be skilled in scuba diving.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have a Commercial diver’s license, a First Aid Certificate, and an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
• The candidate should be accurate.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The candidate must be willing to work in hazardous conditions.
• The candidate must work in or on water.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work under water.
• The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp conditions.

Work setting

• The candidate should work from a remote location, the practice of employees doing their jobs from a location other than a central office operated by the employer.
• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should be willing to relocate whether the candidate would be ready to move into a new city/different city for a job.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience using gauges, power tools, precision measuring instruments, underwater recording equipment, underwater welding equipment, and hand tools.

• The candidate should undergo a thorough basic security clearance.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must be willing to travel.

Work conditions and physical capabilities

• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate should have an eye for details.
• The candidate must have excellent hand eye coordination.
• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.

• The candidate must have equipment and safety equipment/gear.
