Job Description
- The candidate must calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed.
- The candidate must address complaints or concerns professionally.
- The candidate must coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.
- The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
- The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- The candidate must load and unload goods.
- The candidate must pay and receive payments for goods.
- The candidate must perform brake adjustments.
- The candidate must be able to perform emergency roadside repairs.
- The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
- The candidate will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
- The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
- The candidate will be responsible for tarping and ensuring cargo safety and security.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- A candidate with experience is an asset.
- The candidate must hold an AZ class license, an Air Brakes Endorsement Certification, and a Class 1 (or A) driver’s licence.
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should be organized and flexible.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
- The candidate must be hardworking.
Work setting
- The candidate must work in various locations to support employees stationed at different worksites.

Experience and specialization
Documentation knowledge
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbooks and trip reports.
Communication systems experience
- The candidate must have experience operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, as well as using a trip recorder (on-board computer).
Additional information
Security and safety
- The candidate must have a valid passport.
- The candidate must undergo security and safety checks, including a basic security clearance, a driver’s licence validity check, a driving record check (abstract), and a medical exam.
Transportation/travel information
- The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
