Job Description

  • The candidate must determine the method of shipment.
  • The candidate will be expected to plan the distribution of goods.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
  • The candidate must inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documentation.
  • The candidate must maintain an internal record-keeping system.
  • The candidate must record shortages and reject damaged goods.
  • The candidate must route goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • The candidate will be expected to pack goods for shipment.
  • The candidate will be required to unpack received goods.
  • The candidate will be required to affix identifying information and shipping instructions to shipments.
  • The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of goods.
  • The candidate must be able to use computerised inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems.
  • The candidate must greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services desired for purchase, rental, or lease.
  • The candidate will be required to keep sales records for inventory control.
