Job Description
- The candidate will assist in the management of a major retail operation with sales exceeding $8 million.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, supervising staff, promoting teamwork, and maintaining positive staff morale.
- The candidate will assist in controlling stock levels and stock variances while ensuring acceptable levels of security for staff and physical assets within the store.
- The candidate will contribute to improving the Branch image by supporting all Branch policies.
- The candidate will be involved in training staff, scheduling assignments, participating in all store duties, and supporting labour relations matters as required.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must hold a secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- The candidate must have a minimum of six months of recent experience in a supervisory role within a retail or hospitality environment.
- The candidate must have recent (within five years) experience in fostering a customer-centric selling culture and driving sales.
- The candidate must have recent (within five years) experience in store visual presentation.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience managing environments with annual sales exceeding $1 million.
- Candidates with experience hiring, training, and coaching employees may be preferred.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience managing a team of multiple employees per shift.
- The candidate must successfully complete Serving It Right™ certification prior to confirmation of any appointment for this position.

- The successful candidate must undergo a criminal record check.
Work conditions and physical capabilities
- The candidate must be able to lift liquor cases up to 50 lbs. to varying heights.
- The candidate must be able to stand at a cash register for extended periods of time as part of the role.
- The candidate should be able to perform warehouse duties involving frequent bending and standing throughout the shift.
