Job Description

The candidate will supervise a team engaged in mowing and related lawn maintenance tasks.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining lawns and grass areas and assisting with irrigation and drainage system installation and maintenance.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying potential passive turf issues and driving a light truck to move crew, equipment, and materials.
The candidate must operate mowing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Requirements

The candidate must have completed at least Grade 10 education.
The candidate must have completed a course in passive turf health or maintenance, along with sound experience operating ride-on mowing equipment and related parks operations, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
The candidate must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia.
The candidate with a diploma in Turf Management or an Irrigation Certificate will be considered an asset.
The candidate with experience operating large ride-on mowers such as zero-turn, articulated, rear street, Ventrac, John Deere, or Kubota equipment will be preferred.
