Job Description
- They’re required at this post to work at Trent-Severn Waterway lock and bridge stations and assist with the movement of boats working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have the age between 15 and 30 years old and must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or legally entitled to work in Canada to be eligible for this post.
- All the students who are currently enrolled in full-time or part-time studies at an accredited institution are preferred for this post.
- Applicants working at this post are required to maintain experience participating as a member of a team to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain dedicated experience in conducting minor maintenance duties both indoors and out to be preferred for this post.
- Applicants must attain possession of a valid Ontario Class “G” or “G2” driver’s license, or a provincial or territorial equivalent to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain dedicated knowledge of the Parks Canada Agency the historic canals or waterways, and the services they provide to the public to be considered as an asset for this post.
Work setting
- They must attain the willingness and ability to wear a Parks Canada uniform and Personal Protective Equipment to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must be able to do work that involves strenuous physical labour to be preferred for this post.
- They must attain the willingness and ability to be mobile as reporting work sites may vary to get preferred for this post.
- They must be able to work outside in all weather conditions to be preferred for this post.
