The City of Thunderbay has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Services Attendant. They follow the procedures for the collection of returned cheques, DDS rejection debits and payments for invoices. They adopt a safe and responsible operation of all equipment and work station while maintaining a clean environment. They regularly attend and participate in Services and general Staff meetings. They actively as an Emergency Co-coordinator in absence of full-time Services Supervisor. They perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description
- Candidates admit and perform clerical/cash/computer duties for members, program participants, groups and day users.
- They are responsible for accurate accounting of all sales and day cash balances reports.
- They promote and sell Canada Games Complex memberships and programs through counter sales and Registration HotLine.
- They participate in the registration of Community Services Department programs and services to the general public.
Job requirement
- Candidates must complete minimum Grade 11 education.
- They must have an ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with the public.
- They must have experience in handling money and the ability to operate automated/computerised equipment is required.
- They must complete post secondary education.
Work setting
- Candidates must wish to work evenings and weekends.
- They must have or obtain within three months of employment, first Aid and CPR certification and WHMIS.
- They must obtain Customer Service training at the first available opportunity.
