Job Description

  • This is a leadership role that guides the technicians and manages everybody workshop activities.
  • This is a full time role based in Montreal Quebec.
  • The position focuses on quality of service, managing work flow and team management.
  • The role supports operational performance, safety standards and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and support a team of service technicians.
  • Manage daily workflow and help maintain efficient shop operations.
  • Maintain workshop records, inventories and operational documentation.
  • Review and improve shop processes and work standards.
  • Work with service managers to establish quality, speed and cost targets.
  • Monitor repair work to confirm established procedures are followed.
  • Promote compliance with workplace safety requirements and programs.
  • Communicate goals, updates and operational information to team members.
  • Manage employee routines and help resolve technical or personnel issues.
  • Conduct one on one development meetings and review training needs.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Service Manager.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work background.
  • An Associate’s degree or equivalent education is considered an asset.
  • Possess 1 to 3 years of leadership work background in a service focused industry.
  • Automotive work background is preferred but not required.
  • Can manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
  • Can lead group problem solving activities and develop practical solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong time management, leadership and interaction skills.
  • Be skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maintain a driver’s license.
  • Can support projects across Canada and communicate daily in English with staff and clients outside Quebec.
