Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for leading the design of soft accessories categories, creating refined products that integrate performance thinking into everyday use while delivering elevated essentials and versatile pieces that support a modern, head-to-toe wardrobe.
  • The candidate must design across multiple product types, bringing a multifaceted approach to product creation that balances function, comfort, and contemporary style.
  • The candidate must translate creative vision into precise sketches, CADs, and technical packages, clearly communicating construction, materials, trims, and functionality.
  • The candidate will be responsible for leading discussions related to product construction, materials, and finishes, with a strong focus on knit products, while collaborating closely with Development, Technical Design, and Materials teams to ensure high-quality product execution.
  • The candidate must apply strong knowledge of performance-led and lifestyle materials, trims, and raw materials, including knit structures and yarns, to deliver purposeful and well-considered products.
  • The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with Design leadership to research, develop, and implement innovative materials, trims, and construction techniques, including circular and sock knit applications, to enhance product quality, functionality, and assortment offerings.
  • The candidate must contribute to colour and graphic direction informed by sport, culture, and modern lifestyles while aligning with seasonal vision.
  • The candidate must ensure each product reflects the company’s design DNA, quality standards, and functional integrity while challenging conventions where appropriate.
  • The candidate must support and mentor junior designers, fostering technical confidence, curiosity, and collaboration.
  • The candidate must stay informed on global design, accessories, activewear, and cultural trends, applying insights thoughtfully rather than trend chasing.
  • The candidate will be responsible for promoting innovation in materials, construction techniques, and sustainable design practices to support continuous product improvement and development.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must have 8+ years of professional design experience.
  • The candidate must present a strong portfolio showcasing accessories or multi-category design experience, demonstrating a balance of performance-driven product and elevated, versatile design.
  • The candidate must possess deep expertise in materials, trims, construction, and product development across both knit and cut-and-sew applications.
  • The candidate must have experience or education in knit design, with an understanding of knit construction, yarns, and manufacturing techniques, which is highly valued.
  • The candidate must be skilled in hand sketching, CAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • The candidate must have experience working with global development calendars and overseas manufacturing partners.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to mentor junior designers and collaborate effectively across disciplines.
  • The candidate must possess clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting design work.
  • The candidate must demonstrate a thoughtful approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion in both design and team culture.
