Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for leading the end-to-end greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory process, including data collection, analysis, calculation, formatting, and quality control, in partnership with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- The candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining GHG inventory process controls and preparing structured documentation and evidence to support audits and public disclosures.
- The candidate will be responsible for advising on and implementing methodology improvements to enhance GHG data accuracy.
- The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with technology partners to enhance the GHG inventory platform and integrate methodology improvements.
- The candidate will be responsible for organizing data and building reports that demonstrate progress against public climate commitments and support analytics for other climate programs.
- The candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities to generate insights from operations, supply chain, and product data to support decisions that reduce environmental footprint.
- The candidate will be responsible for utilizing industry tools such as Higg MSI, Higg FEM, and other energy and climate-related software programs.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining data integrity in the store utility management database through collaboration with global partners and driving data quality and process improvements.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- The candidate must have 4–6 years of experience in sustainability, climate, or data analytics within a corporate or consulting environment.
- The candidate must have strong analytical skills and experience performing data analysis and quality control on large and complex datasets.
- The candidate must be able to translate data into actionable business insights and present findings clearly and compellingly.
- The candidate must have experience developing GHG inventories and supporting datasets and/or life-cycle assessments.
- The candidate must be process- and detail-oriented, with experience in data assurance and associated controls.
- The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI (or similar tools).
- The candidate must have experience with statistical and analytical software, which is considered an asset.
- The candidate must have experience with GHG accounting software, which is considered an asset.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail while maintaining the ability to understand and communicate broader context.
- The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The candidate must be highly organized with strong time management skills, the ability to prioritize effectively, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- The candidate must acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for their actions and decisions.
