Job Description
- Candidates working in this post will have to hold the Deputy Sheriff, designation as a Peace Officer, and Notary Public.
- They’re also appointed to provide security and civil enforcement services for the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, Territorial Court, and Justice of the Peace Court.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have knowledge of and ability to interpret legislation as they relate to Sheriff’s duties to be eligible for this post.
- They just know court and jury security practices and procedures to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain the ability to react quickly to critical altercations in court and the ability to perform duties while dealing with difficult people in a stressful environment to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain a certificate or coursework in law enforcement with one year of practical experience in court security to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain the ability to write and communicate clearly to interpret and relay information to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain a valid Class 4 driver’s license, and current First Aid, CPR and Automated External Defibrillator Certificates to be eligible for this post.
- They must have dedicated medical certification of fitness to perform the duties associated to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must maintain a level of physical fitness to complete the Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation to be eligible for this post.
