Job Description

  • Works as a ground crew member handling aircraft and baggage operations at the airport
  • Part time, onsite role in Vancouver with rotating 24 hour shifts
  • Involves physical outdoor and indoor work across different airport areas
  • Plays a key role in daily flight operations and turnaround process
  • Offers structured paid training before starting the role
  • Unionized position under IAMAW with shift-based work pattern

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload aircraft baggage and cargo
  • Move and connect passenger bags across flights
  • Work with team members on the ramp and baggage area
  • Handle multiple ground tasks during flight operations
  • Follow safety and security procedures at all times

Requirements

  • You must have a valid driver’s license to operate airside equipment.
  • You must be able to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
  • You must pass a medical check including drug and alcohol testing.
  • You must attend and complete a full time training program for 9-10 weeks.
  • You must be available for rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • You must be safety focused and dependable in a fast paced setting.
  • You must be able to get and maintain required security clearances.
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application
