Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to support the development of transparent performance measures, outcomes, targets and criteria to measure the effectiveness and success of PFR programs and services in advancing the Division’s truth. 
  • Candidates are also appointed to refine existing processes, templates, language, legal agreements, policies, practices, and approaches to better achieve City Reconciliation goals.
  • Candidates are also required to deal with confidential and sensitive information affecting operations, assets and resources.
  • They’re appointed to provide leadership and support in the development of Division-wide policies, and strategies. 
  • Candidates are also appointed to implement plans related to Indigenous affairs and reconciliation, ensuring strategic alignment and integration.
  • They’re also appointed to make presentations to senior leadership, directors and other key decision-makers and stakeholders within the Division. 
  • They’re responsible for a portfolio of diverse policy files of varying degrees of complexity, delivering high-quality results, and meeting deadlines. 
  • Candidates are also appointed to manage competing demands independently and with limited oversight.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have post-secondary education in a related discipline combined with relevant training and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have dedicated experiences as a member of a First Nations, Inuit or Métis community and/or knowledge of Indigenous teachings, principles and traditions to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have exceptional leadership, negotiation and collaboration skills and the ability to coach and influence without direct authority to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have excellent communication skills, including writing, storytelling and public speaking, and the ability to speak with knowledge and assurance in front of an audience.
