Job Description

  • Acts as the head of a local post office, managing services and community presence
  • Full-time permanent role with 18 hours per week and fixed schedule
  • Runs operations from a personally provided and approved premises
  • Handles customer service and retail sales and basic tasks
  • Includes responsibility for managing assets and supporting mail flow in the area

Responsibilities

  • Interact with the local community about postal services and products
  • Sell and promote postal products and services to customers and businesses
  • Provide and maintain a suitable post office premises in a central location
  • Administer daily post office operations and meet required service hours
  • Manage postal revenue, assets and financial records
  • Maintain records and prepare reports as required
  • Assist in managing mail delivery routes
    Sort mail and place it into postal boxes when needed
  • Supervise staff if required

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education or experience in business administration is required

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and handle mail tasks is required
