Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for designing and building Kubernetes-based platforms covering cluster architecture, networking, and service mesh.
  • The candidate must build and maintain CI/CD and delivery tooling to standardize build, test, release workflows and engineering artifact management.
  • The candidate must create self-service platforms including APIs, templates, and portals that allow application teams to provision infrastructure quickly and safely.
  • The candidate must build and deploy observability platforms including logging infrastructure, metrics pipelines, distributed tracing systems, alerting platforms, and monitoring dashboards.
  • The candidate must lead incident response for platform issues including root cause analysis, mitigation, and implementing preventive measures.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or have equivalent experience.
  • The candidate must have 4–8 years of experience designing platform solutions, implementing infrastructure as code, and building scalable distributed systems, or equivalent experience.
  • The candidate must have proven experience designing and implementing complex platform solutions with self-service capabilities.
  • The candidate must have a track record of leading design discussions on platform automation approaches and presenting trade-offs.
  • The candidate must have experience engineering Kubernetes platforms and container orchestration solutions for production workloads.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated ability to design cloud infrastructure abstractions enabling application teams to deploy without deep infrastructure knowledge.
  • The candidate must have experience creating self-service platforms including APIs, templates, and portals allowing teams to provision and deploy safely.
  • The candidate must have familiarity with designing platform interfaces focused on developer usability and productivity.
  • The candidate must have strong experience designing and operating solutions on Microsoft Azure, including core compute, networking, and storage services.
  • The candidate must have proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar.
  • The candidate must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
