Job Description

The candidate must provide bedside and personal care.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with water (i.e. pool).
The candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with bathing and other personal hygiene activities.
The candidate will be expected to assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
The candidate must change non-sterile dressings.
The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
The candidate must provide personal care.
The candidate must go shopping for food and household supplies.
The candidate must prepare and serve healthy meals.
The candidate will be responsible for cooking.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English.
The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience in the education/teaching of individuals with autism.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must have Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Certificate, Behaviour Management Certification, Community Disability Studies Certificate, Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training Certification, Intensive Behavioural Intervention Certification, Mental Health First Aid Certificate, Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) Training Certification, Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour (UMAB) Course Certification, CPR Certificate, Certificate of Conduct, First Aid Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
The candidate must be punctual.
