Job Description
- Parking Programs Strategist leads the long term planning and growth of The City’s parking programs.
- This is a full time temporary position for up to 14 months.
- The role may include work from home arrangements based on operational needs.
- The role supports parking strategy, asset planning and business development across City parking services.
- You will work with planning teams to improve parking programs and long term asset value.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support On Street and Off Street Planning and Development Analysts.
- Set milestones and review parking program routines, operating agreements, rate changes and event rentals.
- Help develop the long term roadmap for parking products, technology and business growth.
- Manage internal and external parking requests and inquiries.
- Lead major review projects including price modeling and land productivity assessments.
Requirements
- Complete a degree in Urban Planning, Transportation, Geography or a related discipline with at least 5 years of work background.
- Have strong knowledge of contract management and data review.
- A certificate in leadership and project management is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of municipal parking operations and rate structures is considered an asset.
- Have a solid background in strategic planning, asset management and program development.
- Show strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Have excellent interaction skills and partner engagement skills.
- Can lead complex modeling and reporting initiatives.
- Provide proof of qualifications before employment.
