- Candidates working in this post are required to advocate for and facilitate the principles of self-care by involving offenders in their own plan of care.
- They’re also required at this post to act as a resource for patients, staff and external stakeholders.

Job requirement
- Candidates applying for this post must be registered as a Registered Nurse Extended Class in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

- They must have demonstrated clinical expertise and assessment skills to elicit, interpret and utilize information from inmates and other sources.
- They must be able to respond to emergency situations and implement appropriate interventions to be eligible for this post.

Work setting
