Medical Device Reprocessing Technicians have knowledge of aseptic technique and medical terminology. They are responsible for assembling, inspecting, packaging and sterilizing equipment as well as surgical linens. They have to disassemble and decontaminate surgical instruments and respiratory equipment.

Job description
- Candidates have to perform various cleaning duties following aseptic technique.
- Candidates have to participate actively in the department’s Quality Improvement Programs and Activities.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
- Candidates must attain experience of Current MDR.
- Candidates should have a successful completion of a recognized CRCST program with appropriate certification.
- Candidates should have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Work setting
- Candidates must have physical ability to tolerate constant standing, lifting as well as bending and walking.
- Candidates must have the ability to tolerate and work with chemical solutions.
