Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are responsible for the management of the Transportation Operations Branch within the Department of Roadways and Transportation, including capital, operational and program planning. 
  • They’re also required at this post for operation, maintenance, and construction of transportation infrastructure to provide a safe, reliable, and effective transportation network for residents and visitors of Regina. 
  • Candidates for this post are required to ensure the development of policies, systems, and procedures across all areas of mandate. 
  • They’re also appointed at this post to establish performance metrics, measure progress, evaluate metrics, progress and reports and assign resources based on priorities. 
  • Candidates are responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards within the Branch. 
  • They’re required for this post to ensure the development and application of SOPs and Orders of Operations to ensure consistent, safe and efficient delivery of services.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have dedicated knowledge of core management practices, including service delivery models, policy development, planning, budgeting, performance measurement management and human resources. 
  • They must have prior knowledge of specific issues, trends, and challenges within the context of the broader department and an understanding of broader City operations to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have dedicated knowledge of the Acts, legislation, and regulatory compliances that govern transportation regulation and controls for all road users. 
  • Candidates for this post are required to maintain professional association memberships and active participation to remain current on the evolution of the core business disciplines.
