Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are required to demonstrate a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility. 

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must be graduates of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program and must acquire a dedicated certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must be responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have completed CPR Training requirements for this position by WRHA policy to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have recent, related, experience in the applicable clinical area to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have a College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have a dedicated College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses to be eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates must have scope of practice as documented in the Licensed Practical Nurses Act with dedicated regional or unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must attain the ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients to be eligible for this post. 

Work setting 

  • Applicants must attain the ability to delegate care appropriately, monitor outcomes of delegated care and be able to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands to be eligible for this post.
