The candidate will be required to remove stains from items using the proper procedures.
The candidate will be responsible for keeping the facility clean at all times.
The candidate will be required to regulate machine processes when starting washers, driers, and dry cleaners, as well as turn levels and valves to control the volume of additives, specific cycles, and temperature.
The candidate will be required to work in wet or damp weather conditions.
The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
The candidate will be required to work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
The candidate must able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Equipment and Machinery Experience

The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating washing machines, flat press and dryers.

Work Setting

The candidate will be required to work in a Dry cleaning and laundry establishment.

Ironing, Pressing and Finishing Workers Specific Skills

The candidate will be required to hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles.
The candidate will be required to use finishing equipment such as steam pressers and hand irons to finish pants, jackets, shirts, skirts, and other dry cleaned and laundered articles.
The candidate must hand iron fine linens or dry-clean silk garments.
The candidate will be required to use fur ironing and glazing equipment to finish fur garments and other fur articles.
