Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for calving.
• The candidate must feed inventory.
• The candidate must be able to handle animals.
• The candidate will be responsible for livestock branding.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate will be responsible for fertilising and spraying crops.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
• The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.
• The candidate must be a quick learner.

Work site environment

• Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming (including feedlots), dry pea and bean farming, hay farming, oilseed (except soybean) farming, other grain farming, soybean farming and wheat farming.
• The candidate must be willing to work in hazardous conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty and dirty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in all types of weather.

• Crops include soybeans, grains and canola.

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience operating farm equipment such as a farm truck, loader, tractor, combine harvester, fertilizer applicator, forage equipment, haying equipment, planting equipment, seed drill, swather, tillage equipment, and welding.

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate does not have access to public transportation.
