Job description
- Maintain golf courses and related facilities to City standards
- Operate grass cutting and golf course maintenance equipment
- Use diesel and gasoline powered machinery safely and efficiently
- Use irrigation systems and perform basic repairs
- Maintain flower beds and shrub areas
- Repair divots and ball marks and change holes and tee blocks
- Clean fieldhouse and washroom facilities
- Inspect facilities and report safety concerns
- Assist the public and support orderly use of golf courses
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned
Job requirements
- Considerable background in horticulture or golf course operations
- Background operating grass cutting equipment and small power tools
- Background repairing and maintaining irrigation systems
- Ability to operate hydraulic equipment with manual or automatic transmissions
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License
