Job Description

  • The candidate must establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • The candidate must train staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • The candidate must estimate the ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation.
  • The candidate will be responsible for hiring food service staff.
  • The candidate must ensure that the food and service meet quality control standards.
  • The candidate must prepare budgets and cost estimates.
  • The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • The candidate must prepare and submit reports.
  • The candidate must establish work schedules.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must supervise cooks (general), food and beverage servers, food service counter attendants, food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers, working groups, and staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 16 to 20 people.
  • The candidate should be client-focused.
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should be flexible.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

  • The candidate must work in a food service establishment, which includes any indoor area or portion thereof where the principal business sells food for on-premises consumption.
  • The candidate should have an on-site customer service system where employees work in an office or business location.
  • The candidate’s relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee’s relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company’s offices or other work locations as required.
  • The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
