Job Description 

  • Candidates will have to inspect building places and structures.  
  • Candidates will also have to confirm building a fire alarm system, sprinkler system,  emergency power generator system,  smoke control system, and others. 
  • Candidates will have to review alternate code solutions.  
  • Candidates will have to project work assigned by supervisory staff. 

Job Requirements 

  • Candidates must have completed grade 12. 
  • Candidates must have a valid Class 5 Alberta Operator’s license.  
  • Candidates must have experience as a certified safety codes officer in another discipline.  
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills.  
  • Candidates must be certified FSCo B1 or B2 rank.  

Work setting 

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry or 5 years experience in municipal fire service
