- Field Service Electrician, Commercial is an electrical service and maintenance position within Tesla’s Energy Operations team.
- This is a full time role located in Vancouver, British Columbia.
- The position supports commercial solar, energy storage and vehicle charging systems.
- The role involves field service work across multiple customer locations.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on commercial inverter systems.
- Respond to corrective maintenance requests for commercial energy products.
- Troubleshoot commercial solar photovoltaic systems.
- Service commercial energy storage equipment.
- Support maintenance of electric vehicle charging stations.
- Update online service case records and documentation.
- Attend inverter training programs and technical development activities.
- Work with Operations Engineering Systems Reliability teams on service cases.
- Provide operational data and technical information when requested.
- Prepare reports required under commercial operations and maintenance agreements.
- Respond to customer concerns regarding system performance and functionality.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, software, electronics and issued equipment.
Requirements
- A valid Journeyperson Electrician certification with Red Seal endorsement is required.
- Electrical trades work background involving troubleshooting power electronics and low voltage controls is required.
- Work background using power tools, hand tools, electrical equipment, isolation meters and multimeters is required.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code requirements is required.
- Knowledge of CSA Z462 practices is required.
- Can work independently with multiple computer applications and technology platforms.
- Can travel to multiple sites on a daily basis.
- Can travel for up to two weeks at a time with short notice.
- Can work weekends, overtime hours and overnight travel assignments when required.
- Can work at heights and in challenging environmental conditions.
- Can perform repetitive physical duties for extended periods.
- Can frequently lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must possess government issued identification suitable for domestic air travel and access to applicable facilities.
- A valid driver’s licence is required.
