UPS has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Feeder Driver. They involve driving a tractor-trailer unit to one or more destinations and returning it to the original domicile. They report vehicle defects, accidents , traffic violations or damages before and after deliveries.

Job description
- Candidates drive UPS 28”/40″/45″/53″ foot trailers within a defined area.
- Candidates will follow and execute company-established safe/defensive driving methods.
- They provide outstanding customer service and complete assigned deliveries within the specified time.
- They will adhere to and comply with the applicable federal and/or state laws regulations and/or agency rules as well as standards and guidelines.
- They maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.
Job requirement
- Candidates must Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg) without assistance and 150 lbs. (68kg) with assistance.
- They must have the ability to read and navigate with maps/map books.
- They must have a minimum 2 years of Tractor-Trailer driving experience.
- They must have valid Ontario CVOR (Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration).
- They must have the valid FAST (Free and Secure Trade) Card (Preferable).
- They must pass a pre-employment road test.
- They must qualify for the position after going through a 2-week UPS training.
Work setting
- Candidates must be exposed to hot/cold temperatures when working outdoors.
- They must wear a UPS Feeder Driver uniform and adhere to the company’s Appearance Guidelines.
Benefits
- Candidates will get $19.00/hr and automatic wage progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement
- They will possess health and dental benefits after 12 months of employment (commences on the first day of the month after meeting the requirement)
- They will obtain 2 weeks of paid vacation after one year of service
- They will also get employee Referral Bonus Program ($300 per a referred Package Handler)
