Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for cattle training.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing and guiding the behavior of farm animals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing livestock health issues.
  • The candidate will be responsible for disinfecting pens, barns, and poultry houses.
  • The candidate must be able to handle animals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the calving process.
  • The candidate must monitor animal health.
  • The candidate must perform animal grooming activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for feeding livestock.
  • The candidate will be responsible for treating livestock health issues.
  • The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fertilising and spraying crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing livestock, and disinfecting pens, barns, or poultry houses.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for formulating feeding program.
  • The candidate must be able to recognise and treat certain livestock health issues.
  • The candidate will be responsible for training horses.
  • The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
  • The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate will be responsible for installing and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.

  • Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, fruit and vegetable combination farming, hay farming, other grain farming, other miscellaneous animal farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, wheat farming and livestock farming.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty, hot, wet/damp, and dirty conditions.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

  • The candidate must be willing to work in rural and remote areas.
