Job Description
- The candidate must be able to handle animals.
- The candidate must ensure that farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English or French.
- There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
- The candidate must be well-organized.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include broiler and meat-type chicken production, chicken farming, and poultry/egg production.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
Experience and specialization
Equipment and machinery experience
- The candidate must have experience in using egg gathering systems, feeding and watering systems, and forklifts.
Area of specialization
- The candidate must specialize in the area of poultry.
