Job Description
- The candidate must be able to handle animals.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
- The candidate must maintain livestock performance records.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records.
- The candidate will be responsible for selecting livestock for sale.
- The candidate must supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising and overseeing growing and other crop-related operations.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate must perform general farm duties.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be capable of supervising between 3 and 4 people and between 5 and 10 people.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming (including feedlots), corn farming, other grain farming, miscellaneous crop farming, and the production of grain, oil, and forage.
