Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to keep track of personnel workloads and locations.
  • The candidate will be expected to carry out general office duties.
  • The candidate must provide excellent customer service.
  • The candidate must inform vehicle operators about traffic and other issues.
  • The candidate will be responsible for dispatching personnel in accordance with schedules and work orders.
  • The candidate will be expected to track shipments.
  • The candidate must be familiar with cross-border dispatching regulations and practises.
  • The candidate must be familiar with highway trucking and its associated rules and regulations.
  • The candidate must be able to use computer-assisted communications and dispatching equipment.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

  • The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.
  • The candidate will be required to work in the Transportation and Warehouse departments.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be familiar with mapping and data visualisation software, monitoring and tracking software, word processing software, electronic mail, the internet, and Microsoft Windows.
  • The candidate must be able to use GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation devices.

Service experience

  • The candidate must have prior trucking service experience.
