Great Northern Snowcat Skiing, located in Nakusp, BC V0G 1R2. The company is currently looking for applications for the role of Dishwasher. We are seeking a self-disciplined individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. The chosen applicant will be required to join and begin their duties as soon as possible. The open positions are for Seasonal employment or a full-time job. The shift schedule encompasses shift times which include Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift and Flexible hours.

Job Description

  • The candidate must clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • The candidate must load bus pans and trays.
  • The candidate must be able to use dishwashers to clean dishes, glasses, and flatware.
  • The candidate must place dishes in the storage area.
  • The candidate must sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • The candidate must clean pots and pans.
  • The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • The candidate will be responsible for stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
  • The candidate must clean, peel, slice, and trim foods using both manual and electrical appliances.
  • The candidate must clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • The candidate must be capable of handling and storing cleaning products.
  • The candidate will be responsible for receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
  • The candidate will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors.
  • The candidate will be responsible for washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • A candidate with experience is an asset.
  • The candidate must have a Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate must be able to multitask.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate must have a positive attitude.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work from a remote location, where employees do their jobs from a location other than a central office operated by the employer.
  • The candidate should work in a room and board-provided setting, dedicated to fostering a culture of well-being, where staff members thrive.
  • The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
  • The candidate’s relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
