Job description
- Provide preventive dental services including fluoride application, scaling, polishing and sealants
- Conduct dental screenings, oral assessments
- Maintain clinical records and complete treatment documentation
- Follow infection prevention and control guidelines
- Support children urgently needing dental care and manage consent forms
- Educate students, families and groups about oral health
- Prepare educational materials and teaching aids
- Work with schools, community clinics and healthcare teams
- Mentor dental hygiene students
- Refer patients and families to suitable dental services
Job requirements
- Applicant must be a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist from the
- College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
Applicant must have a Diploma in Dental Hygiene - Considerable background working as a Dental Hygienist in a dental practice
- Background working with children and seniors
- Knowledge of Abeldent considered an asset
- Hospital setting background considered an asset
- Strong patient care, teamwork and public interaction skills
- Can work evenings and weekends when required
