Job Description

  • The candidate will be in charge of cattle training.
  • The candidate will be in charge of handling animals.
  • The candidate will be expected to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate will be in charge of harvesting crops.
  • The candidate will be expected to feed and care for animals.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate will have to milk cows.
  • The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
  • The candidate must detect and repair mechanical and electrical problems.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a programme lasting one to two years, or equivalent experience in Agriculture, general.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

  • Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, corn farming, hay farming, and livestock combination farming.

Work Setting

  • Accommodation will be provided for the candidate.
  • The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.
  • The candidate must be willing to relocate to the specified location.
  • The candidate’s relocation expenses will be covered by the employer.

Experience and Specialization

Equipment and Machinery Experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience with a farm truck, haying equipment, a loader, a manure spreader, tillage equipment, and a tractor.
