ABATTOIR ST-GERMAIN INC., based at 195 rue Messier, Saint-Germain-de-Grantham, QC J0C 1K0, is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Cutter – meat packing plant who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. The open positions pertain to Permanent employment or full-time jobs. The shift times include morning, day, evening, and night. The LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) has approved the position of Cutter – meat packing plant.

Job Description

• The candidate must slaughter livestock and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.
• The candidate must slaughter cattle, calves, and sheep according to religious laws.
• The candidate must cut beef, lamb, pork, or veal carcasses, or sides or quarters of carcasses, into primal cuts for further cutting, processing, or packaging.
• The candidate must remove the bones from the meat.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the French language.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).

Work site environment

• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must be able to work in cold/refrigerated environments.

Work setting

• The candidate must work in slaughterhouses.

• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
