Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are appointed to provide instructions or direction to callers at this post.
- They’re also required to assign calls for service to police or parking enforcement officers at this post.
- Applicants are required to consistently review events and adjust priorities based on incoming information.
- Candidates for this post are appointed to monitor police pursuits and gather information to assist the Supervisor and the police officers involved in this post.
- Candidates for this post are required to liaise with other divisions or other Police Services to provide an appropriate response working at this post.
- Applicants are also appointed to operate services databases to check for and relay requested information to field personnel working at this post.
- Candidates at this post are also appointed to perform typical duties inherent to the position such as conducting follow-up calls to citizens, other police Units or related Agencies working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates for this post must have successful completion of grade 12 or an approved equivalent combination of education, training, and experience to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have completed high school or college education in a province other than Ontario to be eligible for this post.
- They must have a minimum of 2 years of previous customer service experience in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment to be preferred for this post.
- They must be available to work shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays to be considered as an asset for this post.
Work setting
- Applicants for this post must have strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and deal with critical and time sensitive calls for service to be eligible for this post.
