Job Description
- A Collision Technician is a skilled role that completes structural and cosmetic repairs to Tesla vehicles using state of the art tools and repair techniques.
- This position supports Tesla’s industry-leading EV collision program and works in the evening .
- This may be your opportunity to become a member of an industry leader in EV collision repair – Teslaโs Collision Repair Program.
- The job will consist of assisting with advanced collision repair of state-of-the-art electric vehicles.
- Your work schedule will run Monday to Thursday, Afternoons (3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.).
- You will receive a shift premium for working a late schedule.
Responsibilities
- Have to follow the repair processes and communicate with the automotive collision repair team.
- Perform as well as Tesla guideline.
Work from a Celette Frame Jigs to install and align new structural components. - Replace through glue, riveting, and welding structural components.
- Repair body panels using metal finishing and body filler applicaton.
- Responsible for all collision repairs related to large โ medium (Major Impact/Damage), body panels, suspension components, structural components, radiators, air bags, and trim.
- Perform quality MIG welding to all structural and body repairs
Requirements
- Perform automobile collision repairs to an appropriate level of quality and in accordance with established methods.
- Read, understand and execute repair instructions intact.
- Work in concert with team members to facilitate any work in progress on a vehicle smoothly through each step of the repair process.
- Use tools and technologies which are commonplace in automobile repair settings, adapting and learning next-generation and new software, where warranted.
- Apply trade skills and welding, where needed, to assist with any repair work performed.
- Maintain a valid Canadian drivers licenses, when driving for business.
