Job Description

  • The candidate must create construction specifications and procedures.
  • The candidate will be expected to create and manage construction work schedules.
  • The candidate must evaluate and recommend suitable building and construction materials.
  • The candidate will be expected to plan and design major civil projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, dams, water and waste management systems, and structural steel fabrications.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing contract documents as well as reviewing and evaluating tenders for construction projects.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising technicians, technologists, and other engineers, as well as reviewing and approving designs, calculations, and cost estimates.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
  • The candidate must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

  • The candidate must be willing to work in an urban setting.
  • The candidate will be required to work in a construction company.

Experience and Specialization

Computer and Technology Knowledge

  • The candidate should be familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
