Job description
- The candidate will be required to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- The candidate will be required to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- The candidate will be required to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
- The candidate will be required to bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
- The candidate will be required to prepare infants and children for rest periods.
- The candidate will be required to help children with homework.
- The candidate will be required to tend to emotional well-being of children.
- The candidate will be required to take children to and from school and to appointments.
- The candidate will be required to supervise and care for children.
- The candidate will be required to sterilize bottles.
- The candidate will be required to organize, activities such as games and outings for children.
- The candidate will be required to prepare formulas.
- The candidate will be required to change diapers for infants.
- The candidate will be required to prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- The candidate will be required to wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
- The candidate will be required to travel with family on trips.
- The candidate will be required to assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
- The candidate will be required to shop for food and household supplies.
- The candidate will be required to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- The candidate will be required to assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
- The candidate will be required to tend to a children and toddlers of age one to three years..
- Optional accommodation is available for the candidate at the employer’s home at no charge on a live-in basis. This is not a condition of employment though.
- Will be required to work in the employer’s or the client’s home.
Requirements
- The candidate should have a Secondary high school graduation certificate.
- The candidate should have equivalent qualification.
- No experience is required for applying to this job as the candidate will be trained.
- The candidate should have knowledge in emergency child care first aid.
- The candidate should be able to work in the employer’s home.
- The candidate should have a First Aid Certificate.
- The candidate should have a CPR Certificate.
- The candidate should be able to produce reference from trusted sources.
- The candidate should have a thorough Criminal record check.
- No smoking will be allowed in the premises.
- Public transportation is available for the candidate to avail.
- The candidate should be willing to travel regularly.
