Job description
- Assist children with indoor and outdoor activities, meals, diapering and rest times
- Help prepare and clean play areas, snacks and learning spaces
- Supervise small groups of children and support daily routines
- Escort children during school walks and community outings
- Complete basic forms and routine documentation
- Create secure play spaces which you should maintain by eliminating dangerous elements whenever required
Help with laundry work and dishwashing duties and all tasks related to maintaining the center
Job requirements
- Background caring for children up to 4 years old in a group setting through work or volunteer roles
- Valid First Aid and Infant and Child CPR certification required before employment starts
- Ability to lift and carry children weighing up to 20 kg
- Ability to travel between multiple Toronto child care locations
- General knowledge of child care and workplace safety legislation
- Early Childhood Assistant Certificate considered an asset
- Must have a valid email address and local phone number for call-in work
